Default Pro-106 Issues with CSP Digital System.

I am having issues with my Pro-106 when monitoring the CSP digital system. While in scan mode, the scanner's display will sometimes STOP showing the "T" which indicates trunked mode, then on some frequencies like Troop E car to car (859.7625) I get some analog voice two way comms. I have to keep hitting scan to throw it back into scan mode again. Its definitely a NY Police Dept. Anyone else having these issues?
I dont understand what causes the scanner to come out of trunked mode. I only have the CSP digital system in the scanner, nothing else. Any suggestions guys?

Manny

859.7625 is the CC for the Troop L simulcast and also one for the East Hampton system on Long Island (suffolk). The Troop E C-C TG is 3248. That TG # on East Hampton's system is PD Dispatch. I also noticed that this will happen. NYC DOITT will sometimes come in as well. The solution depends on how you programmed the CSP system in the scanner.

I have the talk group right, 3248 does come up. However, when it comes up, it IS that frequency that shows up. I have had no other problems other than this. How could my programming have caused this?

If you have control channels from an area such as Troop L scanning while you are in range of another system, such as East Hampton which shares some frequencies and is a fairly clear shot across LIS from the shoreline, the scanner will sometimes just go with that CC and then you're listening to someone else.

Correct. Nothing you can do about it, unfortunately. I have the same problem with several systems between NYC and Ct. and Suffolk County that all share some common freqs. and are all in range with a Yagi. Maybe after everyone rebands we will get lucky and not have any common shared freqs.

I guess in this case my radio shack 800 mhz works best. I get nothing except the state police in CT.

Cool

Well, it is a pain in the rear but I guess I'm stuck. SO, I'll just make the best of it! I guess it's better than not receiving the CSP altogether...

Until scanner compaines update their equipment to allow for system ID's to be entered...everyone is out of luck.

Look how long it took to put a NAC entry into the units. Really sucked if your digital channel shared the same as an analog channel somewhere.
