There are 18 licensed locations in New York state on that frequency according to the FCC website. Some of those are on Long Island. Milford is certainly within range.

Where were you in Milford? You could have been picking up a system on Long Island since you were near the water.

I forgot that i turned my email notifications off...so im back to comment about this....
I was in woodmont when i received this, it was loud and clear...so im not sure if i was getting something in LI?...but now that i am home in the bronx, it's alot of static...i was receiving it loud and clear in milford, CT.
It was Analog/P25 clear and Analog/P25 encrypted...i didn't hear any control channel, so i am doubting it was a trunking system, I wont be in CT for a month or so, but when i do i will report back to you on this.

Pro, you down near Woodmont boro??? I have never been able to pick up Bristol's TRS but of course I'm in a mobile when I'm down there. I have a hard time picking them up on the Hilltop in Ansonia at my house and I'm higher up than Milford. Not doubting you, just must be how the propigation is then.

Wow, must be my set up, which isn't that great. In planning on making a new listening post at my house soon. Just need the $$$$. What are you using for an antenna?

I have a Diamond Discone antenna, a Diamond 2Meter-440 Vertical X-500HNA, a 2Meter 7-Element Yagi, and two 800 mhz. 8 element Yagi antennas. That's about it. The discone is 20 feet off the ground and the X-500 is 15 feet off the ground and the 800 mhz. yagi are 10 feet off the ground.
