They are switching to UHF as part of the upgrade 453.775 and the license has hit the FCC database.

I looked back through the license for that, it also includes 453.650

The license was transferred to South Windsor from the Greater Hartford Transit District.

It also does not currently list any digital emission types.

Sounds strange what it says under "Eligibility"

"90.20a - COORDINATE VEHICLES THAT TRANSPORT PATIENTS WITH LIFE THREATING ILLINESS"

I guess that came over from the Hartford Transit license?

Those freqs were dial-a-ride channels for GH Transit. Technically, some users fit that description. Not uncommon to see the truth stretched to get frequencies. lots of public safety users have business channels by saying something like "to conduct corporate business". While it is not a lie, it is not the intended use of those channels.

FYI, NAC132 was used during testing.

I pick up South Windsor on 857.7375. It is in the R.R. Database and the FCC Database here @ ULS License - Public Safety/Spec Emerg, 806-821/851-866 MHz, Conv. License - WNPU573 - SOUTH WINDSOR, TOWN OF And At this point it is analog....

SOUTH WINDSOR, TOWN OF
151 SAND HILL RD
SOUTH WINDSOR, CT 06074
ATTN POLICE DEPT CHIEF GARY TYLER

90.17A - THE APPLICANT IS THE POLICE DEPT OF THE TN OF S WINDSOR

Thats the old license, and the copy and paste from the data base above is nice but this is about the NEW License and the 2 NEW frequencies and the use of them.

I was getting P25 on 453.650 friday in wallingford very week but could not tell who it was.

Both new frequencies are under this license and are digital only.

ULS License - Public Safety Pool, Conventional License - WPYY911 - South Windsor, Town Of

FYI, one easy way to find additional licenses for an agency is to search using the FRN that you will find on each license. While it isn't a foolproof way, I have found it returns the greatest percentage of an agency's or town's licenses. (Keep in mind that shared licenses may be under another FRN or name)

Nowhere under this license or FRN:WPYY911/0003566296 that I can see that it says anything about Digital.

000453.77500000 2 1 4 MO 20K0F3E, 11K2F3E
000453.77500000 3 1 2 FB2 20K0F3E, 11K2F3E
11K2F3E 2.5 kHz deviation FM "narrowband 12.5 kHz" analog voice
(FMN mode in RRDB - may also be 11K0 and 11K3 bandwidth)
20K0F3E 5 kHz deviation FM "wideband 25 kHz" analog voice (FM mode in RRDB)
Radio Service PW - Public Safety Pool, Conventional
So what am I missing?

There is digital transmission (P-25, MotoTRBO, etc.) and there is digital private line (DPL) which is an analog sub audible tone for accessing receivers. Many people confuse the two. It has to be DPL.
