They seem to be totally silent, all day long.

I too live in Waterbury and yes they are. Our town use's LTR-MULTI-NET Johnson radio system and no scanner is going to pick it up...hate it. Search the forum to understand why, this is what I did.

Also just about to post this link on a new thread. Take a look.http://www.danbury.org/cara/Documents/Hamfest2012.pdf

I have had no problem hearing WATR PD, until yesterday. All of a sudden, it is working again, this morning. You cannot hear everything, but a lot comes through. Look around and put in the 9 frequency's, as conventional. I have learned to keep the ATT thingy on to avoid an annoying water hammer sound and other noise. There are also, numerous, other frequencies that may be used by WATR PD. I have these numbers but haven't tried them.

There is another thread about scanning Waterbury. You do what we did back in the days before trunk-tracking scanners. At night when the public works department shuts down, it's not bad to monitor.

I'm sure at some point in time they'll get sick of dealing with Futility, especially since fleet management seems to hate most of the techs that get sent to them, and dump that POS EFJ system in exchange for one that breaks down less often.

Ya I got it cleaned up and I got it running. But still working out the bugs. So its killing me. Because I know I need to do 2 things here do an update on the PRO18 and program in seq. the FRQ. in seq. to get Waterbury PD. One thing is for sure hate not getting it going! Don't have ton's of time and won't pay someone to debug the IBM, as I can do it just need peace and quite to clear someone else's mess on it..........and I will!!

Got it! Program working. Can hear fire now too. Just want to know if you are using the channel list on this site for all freq's 9 in all. Not a real clear signal always static in the transmission. Not really hearing a lot of traffic from PD. But I can hear at last!

Bout time lol. I have the 9 freq. in and squelch all the way. I use ATT. that really cut the noises. I only hear static when they have a problem hehe. My radio picks them up in Torrington and Meridan, maybe with a little static. The 800 mgz antennae is great. Happy listening and congrats. Its mostly routine stuff thou.

Hey Noob Since I got the LTR freq's running I get more downtown bus traffic, more than anything else. Getting fire here and there too. But hows your PD coming in, really not as busy as I though it would be? Am I missing something? I programed the 9 off this sites list is that what you use?

I have the same, I guess, the # is 9. I hear a lot of public works and the PD and some FD but a lot is missing I'm sure. I don't seem to hear buses. There are a whole bunch more of frequency's that belong or did belong to city. I saved but never tried em.

Thankx for the info! As you are correct about the time line. Much more traffic weekends also. I don't have the repeater's in but I know where to get em, and program them in. Is there any really importance to the order that the freq's should be in. I do have them in the order they are listed here on this site. Also where should the repeater be in the list?........Delay is off

From what I found on the FFC are these two. <851.18750 is on our list of 9.> It is actually the primary channel 1. The other that is not on the list that we both have programed is 851.01250. This might have been the old #1 primary channel. I am not sure. Like to hear from CABLEGUY what he uses.
I am going to add it and see what I get.

Also keep an ear on the State ITAC/ICALL frequencies. Waterbury PD has been known to use them when their system goes down.
