Default 453.400

So im in Meriden & Middletown today and comming over 453.400 is a digital signal, I have it in as Bloomfield FD. It was booming in untill I got into middletown downtown then it was gone
I put it in the scanner digital and it comes up enc...
Did maybe Bloomfield PD swap this and go digital encrypted?

Naugatuck is licensed to that frequency with a digital emissions designator.

Maybe they're using it as a 2nd ary channel?

You Nailed it! I was in waterbury Wednesday and it was very active for a few hours in the morning. I could get it with the antenna off my scanner if i was on top of a hill
