what kind of scanner do I need for that Connecticut transit will my home Patrol work and how can I program it ill the 396 work as well someone listen out for my bus number is 22 let me know what it comes up as I will play with the radio at 530

i have not seen anything about the transit in the data base with freqs and talkgroups, and would this cover the buses in waterbury

The system is the CSERN
Connecticut Statewide Emergency Radio Network (CSERN) Trunking System, Varies, Connecticut - Scanner Frequencies
It should cover Waterbury but may not be active there yet. You would try using the Wolcott Site, CC is on 774.58125.

The 396 will work if you do a custom search between 769 and 775 using CC Only and 6.25 steps.

thanks chris they dont have that contro, channel 774.5821 loisted yet on the database but ill put it in and see what i hear

This is what I do also with my 396. It works quite well when traveling through different states. I have two 800 MHz CC-Only searches, and one 700 MHz CC-Only.
