Default Shelton FD

A friend in Shelton FD told me their new system is in the process of being built out.(I confirmed with Motorola, System has shipped) From what he was told it’s a multi site simulcast system with 98% Mobile coverage and 95% portable coverage on the street. The Freq is going to be the current mobile repeater frequency 453.4375.I looked and they do have that licensed in 5 sites around Shelton as FB2 along with 2 other mobile only frequencies that I can only guess are going to be fire ground channels He said they will go on line on the new system in June or July.

They need it. Good luck guys.

I thought they were supposed to stay analog? Maybe the dpw told them them wonderful stories of how good the tbo system they have is! LOL Surprised the pd didn't steal dpw's radios from them. You can buy them for 545 on ebay! An old timer is back on the board of taxation, so don't expect to spend too much LOL

I thought I put up a post bout this a long time ago, and you responded apx...

Here it is:

shelton fd 400

If the mod wants to merge, that's fine! Don't wanna step on toes, but I know there is "gripe" about double posting!

I haven't seen anywhere listed they were not staying analog. Firebuff66 would know more than me though since he knows Shelton's system a lot better than I do. All of Shelton's immediate M/A companies and also Shelton EMS (Echo Hose Amb) are UHF analog anyway.
