Default MPT system in Mohegan Sun Casino

I'm trying to work out the band plan for this MPT system.

The left column are the frequencies currently listed in the RR DB.
The middle column is the actual MPT channel number from the control channel.
The right column is my best-guess computed frequency using ...

Base=935.0 Step=12.5khz Offset=1

935.1500, ?, ?????????
935.7000, 57, 935.7000
936.2125, ?, ?????????
?????????, 92, 936.1375
936.6625, ?, ?????????
937.1625,174, 937.1625
?????????,237, 937.9500
938.2000,257, 938.2000
?????????,292, 938.6375
?????????,314, 938.9125
939.2125,338, 939.2125

935.15 Mhz is the control channel. I didn't catch the channel number for it so I'm not too worried over that. The other channels seem to line up - except for four. They aren't listed in the RR DB. Either (a) they are missing from the DB or (b) they are input channels.

Can someone confirm either (a) or (b) above - or suggest an option (c) ??

-rick

Chris,

I use Trunkview using the Base, offsets and control channel discussed above. I can e-mail you a log file if you are interested.

I was just looking to get Rick the info he needed. If he has all that can be gathered by a trip down there thats great, if not I am willing to go. I usually don't try to listen to them while I am there.

Thanks Chris. I wouldn't recommend that version for MPT. It's useful for verifying your set-up for decoding MPT but not much else. Future versions will perform much better. For this thread, I want to confirm the channel data in the RR database.

Thanks BK. That's a good sign. Yeah, if you can post the channel information as logged by TV - that would be great to have. If it differs from the RR DB and you're able to verify the voice channels - you may want to submit the data to update the database.

Thanks BK. That's more than what is currently in the database (& answers my question). If you are able to verify these (I'm too far away) you may want to submit them to the RR DB.

It has been corrected. Some of the posted info was FCC data dump without understanding how the trunk system in question worked.

Hello,

Off Topic, but anyone who is down in the SE Ct area near the Casino please try to copy the MPT-1327 systems on 451.9625 and 452.2625 as well. I got surprised last May when I came across them during lift conditions. Likely some distance away in Cranston, RI and Exeter, RI but you never know. There could also be another system closer to CT on UHF.

A rare trunked radio system type in the US but Southern New England has at least three!

Eric,

I gave 452.2625 a go and all it displayed was:

sys:0x0089

Then the following two lines repeated over & over. No voice heard.

-Bcast:registration parameters
-Bcast:call maintenance

Hello,

Thanks. It is likely a business system that is only active during weekdays. The great thing about casinos is they are 24/7 or close to it. If you can hear it in CT then it must be in RI or Eastern CT.
