Default System switched to digital, new talk groups?

Hello, I'm a new member here and have a question.

Our local trunk trunk system (correct terminology?) switched to digital. I downloaded the DB for my county / system and it's close but not quite correct. All the talk groups have changed since the switch to digital.

I have many of them figured out (the new ones), how do I update the DB for the new talk groups (that I am sure of)?

Thanks, just trying to help keep the DB up to date!

Welcome to RR, and thanks for your interest in contributing changes. It is very easy. While you are on the page of the system in question, click the submit info tab and follow the prompts. You can do that from any page, but sometimes it will auto fill in info from the current system. You will be presented with a free-field text box. Just say at the top that you are changing TGID's and go ahead an type them. You should also mention that the system went digital, and indicate if any of the TGID's are digital or still analog as you enter them. You can continue to submit changes this way as you ID more.
Thanks again.

Another point to consider is the system type. You said your system "switched" to digital, since you are still hearing them, I am guessing it is a Motorola system.

By "switched" do you mean it was an analog system that just started using digital modulation or do you mean they converted the system from a Motorola to a P25? If the latter, then it would be likely they would take the opportunity to realign talk groups. If the former, there would have been no reason to change them unless they wanted to maintain some analog only channels for radios they were not upgrading.

Could you provide a link to the system here in RR as well as some examples of what you mean by "close but not quite correct" in regard to the TG's. Doing so will help us, help you. Thanks.
