Default How do you run the CD database from the Hard DRive?

I just got the april 2009 release, of the rf database, and was wondering how to set it up to run off the hard drive? I want to use it in the laptop on the road and the less cd's I carry the better.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A400 Safari/528.16)

If you copy all the files on the CDROM to a folder on your computer, it will run fine from there. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I think I have it working now , just run the runcd exe file and it fires up. I was looking for another exe down in the sub folders to start it figuring the runcd wouldn't start it lol

If you're running it from your hard drive, on a Windows system, you can recover some space on your hard drive by deleting folders related to Mac, and Linux.

Also, be sure to properly exit from the session, rather than just closing the window. If you don't, it will leave the Apache web server application running in the background on your system, which will use valuable resources. Apache has a little red icon that will be in the lower right corner of your screen when it's active. You can also see it in the Windows Task Manager.

I'm sure the other ways mentioned would work just fine, but another way would be to use an app like ImgBurn to rip the CD to an ISO file and then mount the ISO with SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive or Daemon Tools.
