Censored Frequencies?
Recently I discovered that the download for Action Radio (Champlin), does not contain the Champlin Police Frequency (LTR #3) 461.450 MHz for this system. It has been excised from your database. [ i.e. Censored?]
This had previously been listed correctly in your database over 6 months ago. This is readily available on the FCC ULS Search and is public domain.
If the RadioRef database is now incomplete due to censorship, it has become a whole lot less attractive for me. What's up here??!!

Huh??? Why would a website whose purpose is to compile and categorize radio freqs for hobbyists censor frequencies? That makes absolutely no sense at all.

In the Cpmputer programming world it is called GIGO. Garbage In Garbage Out. Someone accidentally deleted the item or someone that did not have full knowledge if the radio system submitted an update. It happens all the time.

Sounds like there might be a error, or it was erroneous deleted. What the heck brought you to the conclusion it was "censored"? The database has gone through a lot of changes over the past few months so the information may have been lost or simply omitted while it was being edited.
OOPS....
I just checked for the Champlin in the FCC Database and can not locate any mention of the 461.450 Frequency that you mention. I am assuming that this is in Minnesota, Hennepin County to be exact
since you did not specify what state this is from.
Champlin Police Department :: City of Champlin Online
Finally found it! Callsign: WQDZ491 Action Radio Communications
This is listed as a Business Frequency and not a public safety frequency. It might be used by the City of Champlin for Public Safety communications, but is not licensed by the FCC for such.........

If you find that a database entry is incorrect, submit a correction. That is how this site works, users submit data and the database grows. Sometimes incorrect information gets posted, but usually somebody submits a correction pretty quick.

As stated it was probably an mistaken delete... It happens sometimes though we do try to strive for accuracy..... After all we are human and do make mistakes, and once errors are pointed out we do try our best to fix it. Thats why we are glad to have loyal listeners etc to submit corrections. TY...

I did some checking, the LTR system you are referring to indeed used to have a LCN#3 of 461.4500. There is also no history of this frequency being removed so it is a mystery as to what happened to it. I will not fix it yet and will submit a ticket so that Lindsay can look into the problem. You might want to consider that as a first post, you win no prize by accusing us of censoring things. A question as opposed to an accusation would have gotten a bit faster action on what is apparently a problem we have.

Looks to me like he posed it as a question, not an accusation. He has a question mark after the word 'censored' in both his title, and the text in the body of his message.

This looks like an accusation posed as a question. In any case, we aren't censoring frequencies for this system, so calm down everyone. It is probably a bug or an admin mistake. I readded the frequency - all someone had to do was submit a change request and we would have taken care of it.
No need to lob community bombs like censorship in these types of cases.
