Default update?

I am a fireman in Bartholomew county Indiana..and I am trying to set up a scanner for my wife to listen to....I am pretty sure we are all digital in the county, the information. Listed for the county saysA for analog.... am I not looking in the right place....I am completely dumb with anything over the cb bands...any help would be wonderful...I also understand RR can program my scanner over the net?....this would be from great!

Hey brother looks like you have a mix of stuff there. If you look at your county page in the database, you will see the link for SAFE-T...just go to that page and you will see that most state agencies are on that system plus keep scrolling down and you will see the talkgroups specifically for your county as well. There is a good chance that most everything you will want to hear is on the SAFE-T system and the frequencies on the county page are just for backup.

Tell us what make/model of scanner you have and someone can suggest the best way to program it.

I have a radio shack pro 194...I seen the safe t. Hopefully all the police and fire is there...I did not see the county fire at all only Columbus fire and I know they are different channels....everything else I want I see in the listing...I don't understand it...but it's there

Well in the 1st PDF file and the safe t page I found the entire Bartholomew county talkgroup.... I just don't understand how it's accomplished with about 6 frequencies... like I said before...I am technically challenged

Do you mean 164 Or pro 197?.. there is no 194 . the PRO 197 will do analog & digital.. 164 is analog only
