Default Wilimington DTV transition

Has the Wilmington area made the switch to all digital tv on September 8?
Did the hurricane Hanna delay the transition?
Were any problems reported?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I know Wilmington NC was to be switching early, not sure if you mean them or your Wilmington.

Sorry about that, I thought Wilmington was in Delaware.
Anyway, the transition went OK I just found out.

Lightbulb The one you want is North Carolina

Wilmington, NC made the switch today at 12 noon local time. Here is one story:

For OTA viewers in the Delmarva region (specifically Sussex and Kent counties for purposes of this forum), WMDT in Salisbury MD will terminate its analog transmission on September 20. Its current DTV is on ch 53; on 9/20 the station will "flash cut" its DTV to ch 47 (its current analog allocation). Last week I saw billboards in DE & MD announcing the change. Here's the announcement on WMDT's web site:

http://www.wmdt.com/DTV/index.htm

Last Thursday night, I did watch WMDT-DT from my truck in Rehoboth Beach; because they are broadcasting DTV on reduced power (and partly because I was behind a building), there was some pixillation of the signal. The DTV signal will increase to full power when it switches to ch 47. I expect I won't have any problem next time I'm in Rehoboth overnight.

That night in Rehoboth, I did for a time recieve WABC-DT (NYC) and WSAH-DT (Bridgeport CT). Later, after losing those 2 stations I was able to see WPVI-DT (Philadelphia).

No Problem, Jim.

There is a Wilmington in DE. There is a PBS and an ION network station licensed there; the big four network stations that serve Wilmington are in Philadelphia, however.
