Default Clayton - Smyrna PD & other local

I'm not hearing Clayton, Smyrna, or any local municipal PD's from my home, which is in Clayton. I also have an external antenna installed. I have NCC programmed....I hear a lot up north, but nothing local or south.

Is anyone able to hear any municipal PD from Middletown south? I have the BC 996 and the systems and freqs have been imported from RR.

Anyone who has any tips is appreciated.

Hello,

SPD does its own dispatching. As previously mentioned, most Municipal PDs are dispatched by ReComm, KentComm, or SusComm. I just monitored Clayton PD chit-chatting. Make sure you have the TGs programmed:

TG 19408: SPD1 (Smyrna PD Dispatch 1)
TG 19600: CPD (Clayton PD)

Clayton and Smyrna affiliate to the NCCo and Kent Co Zones. If you use Multi-Site Trunking, and program both Sites, you should have more chances of hearing SPD and CPD from the NCCo or Kent Co Site.

HTHs

Hello,

The Group you have the TGs programmed in, is it enabled? Not L/O? ID Scan or ID Search? Try pressing HOLD, then use the Scroll Knob to scroll through the Scan List to SPD and see if you get any comms.

Hi Dave...
Yup..enabled, no lockouts. I toggle between ID scan & ID search from time to time. I checked my scanner & see Smyrna in a comments field. When holding on the Id, I hear nothing...still.

You will only hear SSX DSP Command if you are scanning the Kent system. The NCC system does not carry it.

Just a note...
