Default Recommending repair facility
When I turn my Uniden BCD396T on the sceen just flashes on and off. Can someone recommend a repair shop that I might take the scanner and have it checked out.

Sounds like your radio is in the firmware update mode.

I think R&R Communications in I think Claymont off of Namanns Rd. can help you out.
