Hello,

Well it seems the State of Delaware was issued a SL License in January of 2002. It would seem the State has planned this for some time.

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. Does this mean they will all be re-baned to 700mhz or what's this mean?

Add more systems/talkgroups/channels to your P25 scan list.

No.

Just an overlay system.

If I read the release correctly, this will be a 700mHz. conventional mutual aid system. Allegedly this will be from 10 towers throughout the state. Heck, there are more than 10 towers in New Castle County alone for the 800mHz system. My guess that they will be the 700mHz tac channels similar to the 800mHz I-tacs

Ah ok so it is a mutual aid system that's good. I was just wondering. Guess I'll have to program them when they come out.

Could be conventional or trunked.
(unless I missed something in the press release)

This will be a combination trunked and a few conventional channel system.
The primary users of the trunked side will be Deldot, DTC (Transit) and Prisons.

Makes sense to me....

Question Monitor able????

Will this system be monitor able with a PSR-500? Is it going to be a Motorola Type II system. When will this be in place?

I'm afraid the short answer appears to be no, at least for the trunked side unless you are listening to a patch from the 700 system on the current system.

Default Idiots!!!

Why doesn't the state just add more channels (frequencies) to their current trunked radio system? It seems stupid to buy a whole bunch of new radios and mobile & handheld antennas.

Really, I think deldot should be on a VHF system.
