BCD 396 T Not tracking

Hi all
I am new to this trunk tracking stuff. I down loaded Sussex county Trunking and Conventional from this site. Uploaded it and the radio scans fine. The only thing it seems to receive is on the conventional side. Fire /EMS simulcast. I don’t know what I did or did not do to receive the trucking side. I am using Free Scan software. Is there anyone in the area that can program this for me or show me how to

Without seeing the file, my first guess is that you haven't assigned quick keys or enabled them. You should have a quick key for each set of talkgroups and one for the system (site level) both allocated and enabled.

Zip your FreeScan file up and attach it. Others can then see what you've done, and it's lots easier to debug a problem. 73 Mike

Make sure it was brought in as a Motorola Type II / 800 Standard system and not P25.

Thanks Guys that sort of worked. I am receiving now on the trunking side.I just need to figure out how to operate the radio. Also I guess Delaware State Police and some local PDs are encripted. They are coming in very garbeled.

I have the 250 and 785. Being along the Rt 54 area I can pick up OC-Worcester pretty well but the reception for Sussex county is terrible. Its really is a hit or miss. So it may be something to do with location for you?
I play with the settings once in a while trying to get them to work better then get frustrated and hit the off button before frustration takes over completely and two radios end up in the back yard.
