Dover PD - Questions

I just purchased my first scanner. It is the Pro-106 from Radio Shack.The unit was preloaded with frequencies and all I had to do was call up the list of freq's for Delaware. I thought that was easy, but the reason I wanted a scanner was to monitor the Dover PD. I guess it's not there. Does anyone have any info to help me to gain access to this freq? Also Camden seems to missing as well. Smryna and Milford are ok.

Hello,

Dover PD uses FULLTIME Encryption on all Talk Groups. Not possible to hear them. Camden PD has a chit-chat TG, but most dispatches for CPD are handled by KentComm.

That's disappointing to hear about Dover. I bought the scanner to listen to Dover as I live in town and wanted to know what's going on. Radio reference shows dispatch 2 as not encrypted. Is that accurate?

I'll have to evaluate my scanner to see if I get enough value to keep it.
