This information on the 800TRS being turned off is not correct according to my and others sources. DOC is due to be the primary user with some other agencies hopping on.
If I saw new antennas on all of the NCC PD/FD vehicles I may think otherwise but I do believe you have been misinformed.

I confirm audiodave the 700 system will NOT be used to replace the 800 system. I spoke with a high official 2 nights ago and the rebanding statewide on the 800 is supposed to done October

As I thought about this I think the confusion may be that both sets of 800 freqs will be installed in all radios. the talk groups will work on either. When the change takes place the set now in use will be turned off and the rebanded will be turned on. There are quite a few people who are giving out what they think is correct info. I was told the other day when they narrow band scanners will not work. The narrow band test was done a few weeks ago in Kent Co. and the pagers that they claimed would not work worked fine and I could not tell the difference on my dispatch redio ( a bearcar 4 )

I may be going down to Dover this weekend, and if I do, I'll try to bring my scanner and a yagi to try to get a direction fix on some of those unidentified sites. Any special requests?

I was in Ocean Pines MD on Monday and Tuesday. At the house I was able to receive site 1919 on 771.78125. I had a decent signal and was able to run Pro96Com.
Adjacent sites were
1313 772.58125
1515 771.90625
1717 773.53125
2121 770.65625
It showed patches of 100/101/102 to 63289
Heading west on Rt50 I was eventually able to receive all but 2121. So that one must be towards the east. I had the best signals on the others before getting to Salisbury.
1919 could be Roxana
2121 could be Bethany Beach
One of the others is probably Laurel

Hello,
Recently received info the Fireboard will use the 700 MHz DelWIN System. A code plug and personality from an issued radio was submitted to me for review. While I have not heard any Fireboard comms on the 700 MHz sites, there is a possibility it will happen. So heads up!

What's the big deal linking the prisons? We've had state wide coverage + Philadelphia + a big chunk of South Jersey + Cecil County MD for almost 2 years now using NXDN trunking. Numerous customers who carry their portables between facilities & I bet that it cost at least $6 million less to build. 90% portable on-street coverage, 99% + mobile coverage, radios cost way under $1000.00 & have more features than P25.

Dispatch sounds clear digital to me. They sometimes use ENC but usually move to TAC C which has been encrypted forever.

Looks like the Wilmington site may be connected to another trunking system via a tower with the same cc as the Claymont site. Here is the Pro96 data:
-Neighbors

100,"T0100",000,"00-0066",769.83125,"Unknown (Different System)"

505,"T0505",001,"00-0224",771.80625,"Newark"
707,"T0707",001,"00-0250",772.13125,"Middletown"
909,"T0909",001,"00-0032",769.40625,"Seaford"

Interesting, I will have to park UT on it. Maybe a link to the state system? Who knows.

Is it my understanding, now that Delaware has gone to 700 Mhz that my Uniden BC796d has tuened into a door stop?

No. The 700 MHz P25 system is used by the DOC exclusively. The State is using its' 3600 Baud P16 System, and recently rebanded the New Castle Co Zone.
The BC796D will track the State system fine, even rebanded, once a firmware update is applied and the new bandplan programmed. The BC796D was never intended to track P25 700 MHz systems. There were no systems online when the BC796D was introduced.
