Anyone know what DSP unit uses callsigns in the 14xx range, e.g. 1415?

Normally I would think this was an IBM number, but the guy was logging in and gave SUSCOM his IBM and vehicle numbers right after that, so it was clearly his actual callsign.

Any knowledge on the subject?

I've heard 1415 several times before as well. I figured there was a rhyme/reason to the callsigns, but I don't have a list of what means what (haven't been able to locate one). If you (or someone else) has such a list that you could share, I would be most appreciative.

Those are Troopers going in service just with their IBM. IBM's used to be limited to 3 digits. DSP used to recycle IMB's after the Trooper retired or left the Division so it was limited from 001 to 999. The policy was changed and the 1,2,3,4 etc that went before the 3 digit was done away with so now they're up to the 1600's for IBM's.

ohhh really, I thought they were all in the 1000s and those were callsigns. That makes sense then, thank you for the info.
