Default Better Reception w/o Analog TV?

I don't know if i'm asking in the correct forum, but is it possible my Digital scanner is receiving better due to the switch from analog TV? john

Your answer is yes! Depending on the location of towers in your area,you might be getting less intermod than before. There are already some other posts here you can read dealing with this.

Agreed, less RF means less intermod and desense.

For every analog channel, they broadcast one video carrier and one audio carrier.

For the past 4-5 years, broadcasters have been transmitting digital and analog. Now with just digital (for the most part), there is 1/3 the RF from TV transmitters.
