PC-ALE unattended recording

Anyone have any luck getting the PC-ALE unattended recording to work? Seems like it's either grabbing lots of dead air or just recording ALE bursts and cuts off before any voice traffic. Maybe 1 out of 10 times it will record voice. I know something isn't right because I hear lots of voice traffic when I monitor the frequencies manually.

Here is my setting page for review in case I goofed somewhere in the config.
I thought Voice Detect was the answer but it just made the radio hang up on a frequency for hours at a time. I also have the recording function enabled and set to 180 secs, but I also tried 300 secs with no difference.
