Scaning and responding

May be a very basic question, but If I hear a station on either of my DMR radios, once the scanning starts again how do I know what repeater they were on?

PS I can hear NA on multiple repeaters.

I don't think all the repeaters are using the correct talk groups yet?

What radio are you using? Do you have multiple DMR/TRBO repeaters around you?
If the repeater is on one of the major networks then talk groups are set to a standard.

There is no way to know what repeater a user is using without looking online or asking them. As far as what talk group they were on you just have to look at your radio in time or look online.

There is a setting in the CPS where the radio will stay on the last freq where activity was heard, so you will know where to answer, even though the radio is still in the scan mode.
