Default amplification and p25

Can I use a normal amp with a p25 portable or do I need a special amp for digital modulation? I am looking at this for my EFJ 5100

I use a TPL PA6-1AC with my XTS on P25. Its just a normal NFM amp. Works fine - have made simplex contact over 25 mile distance.
