Well...did anyone watch CP24 and see their newest member ? The one and only Cam Woolley !!! Starting September 2 he'll be doing traffic reports and interviewing other officers about accidents. He made a direct reference to "digital scanners" so he could "hear all the police calls" along with some other special gear. Anne Rohmer introduced him standing next to his new ride along the Gardiner. I wonder if he'll join the forums......"Need help programming Fleetnet !" It'll be great to hear traffic reports from such an experienced person. Keep up the good work Cam !

Try these for the Global chopper, there is a ctcss tone for them but I don't remember them. I haven't heard the Global chopper in a while, not even during the propane explosion. I believe someone else said CTV is on Mike or iDEN system, these are not scanable. Hope this helps...

Ontario Political Police main guy, why would he be doing TR's and such while on the gov's payroll?

Cam is a goon, only out to make everyone but himself look bad

Doesn't matter what or who, big truck/car/whatever

IMO he needs to be put back on beat patrol, he needs to walk off his "energy" (but then the homeless would be at fault for tripping him)

You may want to actually read the article. Take note of the first two paragraphs.

==============

With a 27-year career in the Ontario Provincial Police in his rear-view mirror, Toronto's best-known traffic sergeant has moved on to a new beat: as CP24's new traffic and safety specialist.

"It's hard to believe I've found a second career that lets me talk even more than I do right now," says Woolley, who starts the job after working a sentimental final speeding blitz on Labour Day weekend.

He served the public almost 30 years and is retiring from the Opp. Cam never made anyone look bad, but a couple of bone heads that drive like a-holes and endanger everyone, or people who feel it they're right to take unsafe cars, trucks, trailers out on the road ways. If anything he should all Police officers are'nt big bad goons, they actually humans with a sense of humour.

Hey a**wipe,

Take a minute to actually know what you're talking about before you go off and spout crap about something you CLEARLY know NOTHING about.

Cam Woolley has done nothing but good for the public. So keep your comments to yourself.

Wooleys... Goodbye

>>>It has truly been a pleasure to work with the men & women in media.
Your patience, understanding, and creativity has been inspiring. Everyone from
reporters, writers, producers, editors, assignment desks, camera operators,
storm-chasers, SCANNER GEEKS, and photographers have all helped the OPP to
effectively communicate with our citizens.<<<

I got this off scanont, nice to see he recognizes us 'scanner geeks' haha

It takes one to know one.
It's not unusual to spot Mr. Wooley in RadioWorld.
I was there once when he purchased a scanner for his parents.
