Ministry decision to approve costing by O.P.P

Correspondence dated May 20, 2008 was received by Debra Newman, Deputy Minister of Community Safety and Correctional Services approving OPP costing

Preparation of costing proposal by O.P.P
8 to 12 weeks from receipt of request
Prior to requesting costing from OPP, the Municipality will hold a public meeting on September 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. (please refer to Public Meeting Section)

Costing proposal forwarded to Council

If requested, costing proposal presented to Council
Time required determined by municipality

Council communicates any additional policing requirements to O.P.P and Step 3 is repeated if changes significant

If Council votes to accept O.P.P proposal it passes a Resolution that is sent to Solicitor General and O.P.P Contract Policing Bureau
