Looking for some clarification of this phrase...context: officer call dispatch with CPIC check on suspect, Dispatcher replies with conditions and ends with "on door knock". Sounds like the recognizance allows for random door checks at subjects place of residence or surety's? Seams like new condition for release. Is this common?

You are correct.

It's fairly standard that someone will come do a "door knock" at random.

In Niagara for example, they have/had a crew that that's all they did.

Yup, that's right. It's a new way of them making sure that the bad guys are behaving themselves and should be home when they should be. If not, I think they can go bust them for breaking their parole terms?
