Ottawa/ Hull Region - located chatter on 452.025 Mhz. Can not find any listings of who it is. Sounds like a security company, all chatter is in french. Anybody in the area know who this?

Is it coventional or an LTR, or trunking frequency. I have come across other LTR's in ottawa, that are not listed in the database. Some in the 450-470 frequency range. And also have picked up what seems to be either an input frequency or simplex on 816.3375 near the east end of the city, near St Laurant, different users on it from time to time and it's not as strong as an repeater output signal, so i assume its an input.

Ottawa University security doesn't have special constable status, although all staff are select and trained so meet the requirements for special constables and its been proposed that they become special constables.

The UHF frequency is Conventional with a CTCSS of 123.0hz. I will give 816.3375 is the input to 861.3375 which is a trunked frequency on a Motorola system.

I assume it's one of these; probably not one of the Alberta ones.

The U of O is bilingual right but would it not be in la belle province?

Its Ontario's biggest French University. Yes its bilingual, but french is dominate language used by security and support staff.

Thanks dave for the reference. Its 816.3375 to the output of 861.3375. And yes its an input frequency, cause i dont hear the output on it. I just wondered which group it belonged to, i can hear that particular input frequency flutter in and out, depending on how close the mobile is to my place, but i do hear it used a lot. Are inputs usually 45 mhz lower on an 800mhz trunking system?

Yes in the 800/900mhz range the inputs are 45mhz lower.

Not sure what you mean by which group...

It's the input to one channel of an ESAS (enhanced LTR) system. I can hear the
output (45MHz up), with idle pulsing every 1.25s, so it's stil alive, but cannot
hear the others in the system (they may have been shut off).

It's not likely anyone would be using the input frequency for simplex, because
(all) radios I've seen can TX in the input and output ranges, but only RX on
the output range (851-869).
