Congratulations To Canada Search and Rescue to work With IC to Get a Canada Wide VHF and Repeater Pair for Search and Rescue Operations Especially Since The RCMP are Mostly on VHF ,There is also a UHF Canada Wide UHF Repeater Pair that has been around to Some Time.

The Canada Wide Simplex Freq is 149.080Mhz (which was IC's Mobile to Mobile and Mobile to Base Freq for tracking down the bad guys, I expect they have upgraded to Cellular or MSAT Service by now

The Canada wide Repeater Pair is 151.085Mhz Tx and 149.080Mhz RX which is only a approx a 3 Mhz split.

Search And Rescue Global 1 - Ottawa Gatineau Search and Rescue is the one that received the license. Not to be confused with Canadian Forces/Coast Guard Search and Rescue.

FYI the CTCSS for this Canada wide frequency is 156.7hz. I submitted the information on thursday to the DB. This is officially known as VSAR-IF and is ment for inter-agency coordination and is ment to suppliment exsisting frequencies in use by various organizations.
