Has anyone heard the air ambulances off their normal conventional freqs over the last few days? Late last week I heard them blabbering on the radio about how for the next week or so they'll have to use the sat phone because maintenance is being done on the VHF radio system...

Thoughts?

I heard them last week on their regular frequency of 129.275 talking to London CACC. I also heard them on their UHF frequency 2 or 3 weeks ago when at a fatal MVC out in Mississauga.

No. Still heard 129.275, 150.100 , 413.6875 and 418.6875 being used over this past week.
About an hour ago I heard 790 departing Buttonville (on the Tower Freq. of 124.8000 )for Parry Sound.

ORNGE was working out of their backup centre for the last week or so while some upgrades and modifications were being done. They're back home now so things should be back to normal.
