I have been noticing when i run my 396 and listen to Peel Police the batteries will only last a touch over 3 hours (rechargeable 2300 maha) but if I listen to OPP (Mississauga & Ballinfad towers) it will last 10 hours.. Million dollar question? Is Peel that busy to knock out the batteries faster? I do Not charge the batteries in the radio at all... Anyone else notice this?

3 hours to drain 2300 mAh batteries? That's roughly 800 mA per hour. Yikes! That's more than my 796D draws.

Something doesn't sound right.

My 396T has the same stock 2300 batteries and also drains this fast.

Yikes! Scanning across all 4 zones of Toronto Police on my 330 lasts about 10 hours on well-used 2300mAh batteries.
