9536 on Fleetnet?

Hi all;

I'm seeing a bunch of affiliations to talkgrou 9536 (254) on Fleetnet Zone 1. The radios that are affiliating are all OPP - a mix of regular cruisers and the Intelligence/Surveillance radios. There haven't been any voice comms as of yet though.

This has happened on the King City and Toronto towers.

Anyone know what it might be?

Well that would fall right in line after 1TAC10... so perhaps a spare Tac channel or something? Hard to say. I've seen a few groups that seem to get a fair number of affiliations, yet there is squat for voice traffic.

Probably the RED talkgroup for OPP.

Do the OPP use those? It's a relativly new talkgroup to show up, within the last 2 weeks or so.

In Zone 2 I have this TG logged going back to Dec. 28, 2005; obviously
not used much here but don't know what the occasion was.

It's been there for quite a while. Never heard much voice activity on it but I've seen lots of affiliations to it over the years.
