Would these be worth putting in for Burlington?
I used to live near a substation (Roselawn) in Toronto and never heard anything with my close-call.

Do you happen to know where the repeaters are located around here?

The 99 Channel SP Maxtracs they use have a "talkground" feature which would imply that at least some of these are repeaters.

I have monitored them in York Region, and in Peel Region but not in Halton.
It's worth a shot though for Halton.

Hey Mike

Im not to sure where the repeaters are located.

But, I believe Spectrum Communications in Sudbury has the contract with Hydro One for all of their Comm stuff, and then sub-contracts it out to other Mot Dealers.

I did a TAFL search on those frequencies for the National TAFL. The only ones that come up are:

49.0100
49.0300
49.0500
49.0700
49.0900
49.1100
49.1300
49.1500
49.1700
49.1900
49.2100
49.2300
49.2500
49.2700
49.2900
49.3100
49.3300
49.3500
49.3700
49.3900
49.4100
49.4300
49.4500
49.4700
49.5100
49.5800

None of which seem to be a repeater except one in Slake Falls, where ever that is.

Also;

I'm noticing that your list has exactly 32 channels. That's what was available in the stock Low-Band Maxtrac. Maybe they stopped using the SP 99 channel version at some point and switched to the regular 32 channel model?

In Peel there's an Ontario Hydro tower at Winston Churchill and the 403 sporting a single-bay low-band antenna. I'm not sure if it's used anymore or not.

Is that the same tower that has all the Rogers head-end equipment, sporting a rather large eliptical dish in the front yard?

I go by it on occasion and don't recall seeing any dishes of any kind.

There is cell equipment on the tower itself. It went about a year to two ago.

That's a Hydro One site used for their microwave transmission network.

The Rogers head end is a lot further north.

Well there you go :)

I'm wondering what the huge dish on the front "lawn" is for. It's not connected anymore, but the thing is massive.

There's a bunch of horizontal polarized TV style antennas on it which made me think it was the Rogers Head-end... Plus having a sign with the old "Rogers Cablesystems" logo on it made me think too :) Unless the site I mean is the one you're talking about...

The tower I'm thinking of is definitely a Hydro One m/w tower. Northwest corner of Hwy 403 and Winston Churchill.

There's a Rogers headend site up around Hwy 401 and Winston Churchill.
