Brampton Fire has had trouble finding diesel for the fire trucks. They drive all over and find nothing.
Yesterday they found an independant station with some, who agreed to allow them to fill up with no limits,if the chief came over and payed with a credit card,as they do not have an account with them.
Mississauga fire has had some trouble as well, but they are filling up at the works yard if they can't find any.
That's exactly why I said they should let emergency services know where they can fuel up. Can you imagine a fire truck not being able to respond to a house fire because they didn't have enough juice to get there AND keep the truck running while on scene to put out the fire. Now that's a lawsuit waiting to happen !!!!!
We're all smart here. So lets talk about the "other" people. The stupid ones. They are the ones that want their 15 secs of fame on the news so they can complain out the shortage and the price. Why ? Because they run their car on fumes. While on fumes, they have to drop off the kids at school, drive to work across town, drive back to pick up the kids, go do grocery shopping, visit grandma and drive back home during the snow storm.
I had half a tank when I filled up. I wasn't desperate for gas and had the time to look for another station if one was dry. Best time to get it, is when you don't need it.
