I've gotten into higher quality audio recently (meaning I dont like MP3 and cheap gaming headset audio anymore lol). I've been using some dynamic mics for gaming and general purpose coms and I like the quality of audio, but the activations level of dynamic mics is a little disappointing. I'm using a Tianwei Acoustics T-102 and a Logitech USB Mic (Xbox mic), both have great audio but are very quiet.

I've been looking around for small mic amps (mostly kit projects), I dont need anything too powerful, just something to boost the audio a little. Right now I need to boost the audio on my computer +20 or +30 bd just so my voice comes across without be having to "eat" the mic. Obviously this adds distortion and static of which I am not a fan of.

These are the three amps/preamps I'm looking at. Does anyone have a better solution?

USB only?

Is USB the only way to feed audio into the Xbox for a microphone? I've thought a little about poor audio, watching gamers on YouTube posts, and thinking there had to be a better way to speak into the internet games.

USB is not the only option for the Xbox mic. I'm using a 3.5 mm sterio jack for mine. I prefer 3.5mm over usb actually (usb has more noise). Its a simple dynamic mic, easy to work with. There are plenty of YouTube videos of modding the mic.

Correction, the USB may be the only way to feel an Xbox with a mic (360 or Xbox 1) , but the hand held mic can be converted to almost any jack you like for PC use....that is what I was referring to.
