AARP

Don't you hate how those guys start trying to sign you up before you even reach 50? Who the hell is "retired" at 50?

I'd love to reverse it to the Krusty Krab from Spongebob Squarepants. But it just feels wrong somehow.

So I think I'll turn to my good friend BART Simpson instead.

Short for Barbara, or a "biting remark", the choice is yours!

Tone (I'm a video technician, when we test, it's with "bars & tone")

Barry,
When we test a projector or video screen of any kind, or a for a recording for a presentation (for instance), and the P.A. system, we use "bars and tone", usually SMPTE bars (like in my avatar) for the video portion, and a 400hz tone for the audio portion.

TMI, I know...

Stab, is my word!

No problem. We didn't have all that new fangled computerized testing system you all have now, in tech school we had a color bar generator, tone generator and even a test screen generator which we worked on more than used. Hooked 'em up one at a time using a 300 ohm lead input or straight to the internal circuitry. You ain't had fun 'til a flyback gets you.

my word is STAR.

I think some of us occasionally confuse this thread with the Word Association thread, then we see what we've done, and say "RATS."
