Cats and Radios
Hi all,
This will be a place to post pics of your furry feline friends draping themselves over your rig, or just plain claiming her rightful spot on your computer desk (usually on the keyboard!).
I'll start with my dearly departed buddy, BC the Wonder Cat:

I came home one day to find Buster with my XTS2500! Didn't have the heart to take it away from him!

Very nice! It's like the "Kitty in the Lap" rule; you can't get up if there is a kitty sitting in your lap, until said kitty decided to get up, that is.
I think they allow exceptions for fires and if someone is coming after you with a meat cleaver...maybe.

Nice thread! I rarely see her in person do it, but I know our cat Luci (short for Lucifer) loves my radio / computer desks . . . 'cuz every day I sit down there, there are cat litter crumbs all over them!

K9DAK,
First, when you can, snap a pic of your furry friend and send it on down!
Second, with a prefix like K9, you should at least have a dog, too!
73,
Jim KC2LMH

Looks like I'll be sitting this thread out due to lack of requisite pet.
But I will participate by saying this: Aaaaaaawww, cute!!!
Carry on...

I don't let my cats get too close to my Radios! Last time, my antenna ended up with a few bite marks

Some cats chew on cables, too. For some reason, BC never was interested in cables of any kind, but he did get an "age onset" desire to chew plastic bags!
Here he is guarding the rigs, but asleep while on duty.

The Cat of Cat's And was Love'd by Many that New Him
Wow what a great thread: Jim I wanted to share a Photo of my little guy sorry minus the Radio!
My Cat Turd would have fit in here nicely i did say Turd ! He got his name from my Dad He was All black with a little white under his Neck and he love settin on my Uniden Washington Base because of it's big surface area and it was Warm.
When someone would Talk he'd get excited & take his Paw an tap on the Speaker and i say who is that turd who is that..
We had him for 17 great year's till he passed in 1998.. even though he's been gone from us that long i still think about him every day and i wish i could have him back even if it was just for a day..
Here is a Picture of my little Dude in his i'm a Cool Cat Pose:

Turd looks like he's flying!
If you come across any other pics, please post 'em, he looks like an awesome cat.
It's amazing how these critters stay with us in our hearts for so long. In addition to BC, I still miss my dog Sam, a Collie mix who passed away at 13 back in 1978.
Thanks for the post, bear.

Yea he was a great Kitty Jim:
I'm still trying to find the Pictures of him with one of my Radios i had a many many pictures of Turd but the ones were he's with my Radios i have yet to find time to stir the " Attic " sort of speak see if i can find them..
But the picture i posted & you see i have a short story to tell Ya on it.. We had to take Turd to Vet for his yearly shots and most of the Time when we headed there he rode in the Front seat of the Pic Up with us then he would get in his Taxi i never had to force him in or out of his Taxi all said was Turd or sometimes i called him Old Dog we need to kennel up and he'd go in there..
But that day he wanted to Ride in his Taxi he on Occasion would Meow but for most of the Ride to Vet he was Quiet Well we got there and we had to wait a bit for the Vet to get there as we was on a Big Animal Call and me dad and Turd was setting in the Waiting Room.. And this Guy Came in to Check on his Cat and while waiting he was Looking at the Cat pictures that one's had took of there cats and put up on the Door.
And he ran across the one that i Just posted and he Said is that Cat Dead or Playing Dead he Looks like he's just out it.. And Terry the Lady we New there at the Clinic & Just Love Turd like he was her own Started laughing and the guy said what so funny and Terry told Him you see those people over there on the Bench with that pet Taxi..
And he came back and said yes Terry she said there the Owners of that Cat and his Name is Turd and he said YOUR! kidding me Terry she said Nope Just ask them..
We said Yup were the Owners of this little Guy so he got see Turd in the Flesh and get his head rubbed by him Turd love them head Rubs..

Ladies and gentleman, we have a rilly great shoe for you tonight, please welcome; "The Flying Turds!"
I can see them on the stage now! On the bass drum is that picture of Turd the Cat in his "I'm a cool flying cat" pose!
BC hated going to the vet after he got the diabetes. Before that it was a big adventure.

In his estimation, he probably caught it there.
