Is it dry enough to start new fires today? Calling for dry lightning today!! If it is dry enough hold on to your hats.

Well, we had a torrential down pour the other day and I think there are fire bans in Larimer County so I think it still is pretty dry out. Doesn't help when my neighbor is lighting off airborne fireworks and another has an outdoor fireplace that he seems to light every evening. You can smell the smoke come into the house since I have a whole house fan I turn on in the evening.

Now the clouds are dissipating. I thought we might have gotten rain.

Just my 2 cents...if he doesn't listen to a reasonable request to stop, you need to report that neighbor to LCSO or PFA despite how it makes him "feel". He may not care if he burns down his own house, but hopefully you care enough that he doesn't burn yours down with it! Especially if they are the professional size fireworks! Had a neighbor think he could do that once in the middle of a city subdivision...not cool.

There is an absolute reason for these types of fire bans. If a single cigarette can start a fast moving wildfire that requires a SEAT (i.e. Sailboat Fire last week at Horsetooth), imagine what a firework can do....

Yeah, he lights 'em up every year. I live in Loveland not Fort Collins BTW.
