Hey guys hope someone can help me out with this but the last few nights I been listening bayflight frequency on 150.860 but have not heard them in while and I'm hearing what sounds like park rangers. they were watching these guys to see if they take out anymore deers. the accent does not sound like they are from Florida but maybe somewhere around Georgia or Alabama, can anyone else ID them. my location is 30mi north of Tampa.

We visit the island every year and I have seen their fire department but I have not found any reference to them in the database.

I would imagine they have access to the Charlotte County TRS but do they have their own talkgroup? Do they use a conventional system? Are they dispatched by Charlotte county? Anyone know the deal with them?

I am staying at a hotel off of I-4 by Disney, I was doing some searching around the 800 band and found a strong TRS on 868.7125 that Trunker is identifying as Zone 5 of 1F36 which is the Orange County Smart Zone but it does not show in the database. The frequencies I found used by the system are 866.1125,867.3875,867.7375,868.0375,868.7125,866.5750,867.0750,867.3250 which are on the Greater Orlando Public Safety Cooperative WNXS401 license.

Hello everyone...

I live in Brevard County, to be exact, Palm Bay FL. I used to live in Miami back in the 90's and hosted a website call Dade County Frequencies and Talkgroups...in those days it was the place to get accurate information for comms in Metro-Dade County & all things to do with Federal Comms. Since then, I moved to Brevard County in 2002 and due to personal reasons, put my radio monitoring on hold.

After attending the Melbourne Hamfest this past October, and meeting up with some of my old time friends (EL PICHIRULO!), I've decided to get back into monitoring. It's incredible how many new features are in the new trunk trackers versus the old ones. My outdated equipment includes a BC-250D (Main Scanner), BC-245XLT, AOR-1000, Pro-43 (for eTrunker), and an M/A-Com LPE200 Provoice radio. I'll be looking into ordering a BC-396XT really soon and perhaps purchasing a multiband radio such as an APX or Unity.

Like before, I've decided to set up a website for monitoring public safety comms. I've called it Brevard County Frequencies & Talkgroups or BCFT. Instead of a traditional site, I've gone ahead and hosted this on my personal sharepoint server. This platform is ideal for group collaborations, and will allow for hosting of files, discussions, blogging, and much more. Please feel free to visit my site...

Does anyone have the new frequencies? It would be great to get the database updated, too.

Since the conversion to Digital this morning, I cannot trunk track the digital side. I have the Pro-106 and the PSR-500. I tried to change the system to P25 Auto and Manual. Any suggesions??

This weekend (Nov 6-8th) we have the Blue Angels here in town at Jacksonville Beach. This usually draws a huge crowd to our area. I happen to have office space in down town Jax beach and have my normal scanner online (police/fire/etc) and one setup temporarily for the air show. With all the extra people here on the beach, I'm sure the police/EMS/fire will be busy. That scanner is up 24/7 and is found at:

This weekend (Nov 6th - 8th) the Jacksonville (on the beach) air show is going on. I caught a bit of the Blue Angels out today doing practice runs and "marking". I grabbed my scanner and this is what I picked up:

118.0 <- For landing/approach it seemed.

I'll be putting my secondary scanner online tonight with freq that I know of. I'll post a link here with that information.

Help W/Brevard County

hello to all. name here is Rich, N9DKO from western chicago suburbs. i'm going to be in the area for the next 4 days or so and would like to monitor the Brevard Cnty Sheriff as well as whomever provides police, fire and EMS to Mims, FL. we're staying in a campground in Mims right off I-95 at state route 46 and since i don't see any reference to a Mims PD or FD i'm assuming that either the sheriff or state provides police services??? what about fire and EMS?

i'm not new to scanning but i'm very new to scanning trunk systems. i've downloaded the conventional and trunk data from RR into my uniden 396T handheld but not hearing anything on either system. i see that BC is on an EDACS system but when i tried to download all 4 sites RR advised not to do that and to select only 1 site. i selected the Titusville site. was that correct?

if this system has been rebanded do i need to make manual adjustments to the control frequencies that i've downloaded or does the scanner do that on it's own? my scanner has the latest uniden firmware update (v3.02.02).

i'd appreciate any help coming my way.

For those of you that monitor Polk County Fire/EMS they have updated the CAD system. It gives much more information and is realtime with units dispatched (both Fire and EMS). Not sure when it changed but it has been within the last month or two. Check it out:

Around after 5pm a mobile home is on fire and someone has a burn on their hand. I think its the 9400 blcok us 1 south. They are on channel 2. 11, 6, bat 2 and 14.

Forestry Radio Interference

I was looking for suggestions as to how to determine who might be walking on Forestry's Bunnell (St. John, Flagler and Volusia counties) Channel 159.450 PL 100. We are picking up radio traffic that sounds like it is from a law enforcement agency but have not been able to track down where it is from (we have heard "Savanna", "Georgia Plate/Tag" and "mile marker 13" . We share this frequency with South Carolina Forestry and their Corbin Mountain Repeater, but that is in northern SC and would not likely have traffic about driver's licenses and auto tags.
