Hi there - I was looking around for this the last couple of days and didn't turn anything up, i may be possibly missing something though too, so let me know if i am.

Is there any way to query the database for frequencies that aren't associate with a state or region? I've specifically been looking for the amateur satellite frequencies but i know there are other things out there too.

I ended up using EZGrab in freescan and a copy of the table from the amsat site and it worked pretty well. I just went though and deleted dupes when i was done. FreeScan continues to kind of amaze me with its functionality.

Here's a link to the amsat site for anyone who's looking:
AMSAT - Satellite Frequencies

Just wanted to see if there's another way i could find these, or if they're being maintained in RR.

thanks in advance!

The majority of conventional and trunked analog frequencies in the database for Michigan are obsolete, and have been for some time. It's very confusing for someone new entering into the hobby, and presents a lot of needless clutter for all of us. I had ask one time why they were being maintained and the response was that they may be activated again in the event something goes wrong with MPSCS. It's unlikely that will happen in most cases because the infrastructures and equipment has either been pulled, or are no longer functional.

I'm thinking if they still need to be available they could be moved to the Wiki, and just keep the database listings for current, active frequencies and talk groups.

What does everyone think?

Thanks!

The PC is communicating with the scanner, but seems to just go through the motions and nothing is received. I looked at the tutorials for Scancat-Lite to try their software. My question is that i would prefer to be a paying member here in RR for the use of their database, or would i still have to buy the software from another vendor and use RR's info? Thanks

I am trying to enter the San Mateo County Public Safety (California) channels into my scanner. I know they are using the APCO25 system, but when I import the frequencies to ARCXT Pro, it say System Type is Motorola. I changed the system type to P25 Standard. I assigned quickey 3 to the items with a "blue S" (yes, this software as well as trunking is new to me). So I upload to the BCD 396XT and scanned group #3 and nada.. Before I go in another wrong direction, I thought I'd come here for help. Does the radio know that even though it says system type is Motorola, that it's a P25 system? Am I setting the quickkey for this system wrong? There needs to be a class for us analog guys making the transition. Thanks for your help.
