OK, Apparently I have the cable and software to program our EMA's vx2200's.
I have the software for the vx350, vx160 HT's, and vx3200 mobile.

What cable do I need and where is a GOOD place to get it?
I need these cables soon!
I checked ebay, but with the trouble I had with the place I "thought" I was going to get the right cables from, well...
I tried to program the vx3200 with the cable that worked on the 2200, but no luck.

Any help?

Most of our radios are the above mentioned models. My director thought it would be a good idea if we had the ability in house to reprogram our radios.

So I bought the software and cables from "the antenna farm".
I can not get the radios to read or write. I am using a serial cable and a desktop PC running standard XP. No usb-serial converters, it is going straight to the com1 port on the back of the PC.

If I try to read the radio, it says "turn the radio on". The when I do that, it says "communication Error".

My director probably wont be too happy with me if I cant figure it out.
Any suggestions?

As far as I can tell it's made by Vertex, specifically for Bearcom. I'm not sure if there is an Identical Vertex model or not(I couldn't find one). Is there any way I can reprogram this radio myself?

I have built the codeplugs and all is well, but no matter what I do, I cannot get the radios to scan. I can edit the scan list, change the priority selections, etc, but not actually scan.
