I am working to purchase a new scanner for the purpose of a live feed. Currently, I am using my 396 for this purpose but I miss not having it with me. My feed sounds great with the unit but when looking for a new one - I need to know if anyone has any insight if they are going to change to the states digital system. I don't want to throw money away but I don't want to spend a ton if they are not going to move for a couple years.

Thank you,

Would one of you be so kind as to plug in 153.0425 into your scanner and tell me if you hear a constant data channel.

Would appreciate if somebody could get back to me and confirm what, if anything, they are hearing on 153.0425

Thanks

Just an FYI for those of you listening in Cabell Co...

WPEH352

This is the license that has the current Cabell Co SO, Fire and EMS frequencies on it as well as Huntington FD

According to the license, the added some additional transmitters to the various locations to [probably] increase coverage for SO / Fire / EMS and Huntington PD. Or, the coverage was always there, the license didn't reflect it initially, and they just decided to make it reflect what is in use.

According to the license, on their northernmost tower they were granted a license for four additional repeater pairs:

 453.2125 FB2
453.4625 FB2
453.7125 FB2
453.8625 FB2

No idea if they are active, when they will be active, or if they ever will be active. But you folks who monitor Cabell Co might want to start listening for traffic on those frequencies.

If you do hear traffic and are able to identify it as Cabell Co traffic, please submit all relevent information (agency using it, PL/DCS tones, etc) to the RRDB so that we can update the RRDB.

Thanks
So, for those of you living in the vicinity and reading this, you might want to plug these frequencies in and see if you copy anything. If you do and confirm it to be CVFD active, please submit appropriate information (freq, PL/DCS tone, etc) to the RRDB
Look forward to hearing your input. Thanks again
