I have not been up to Lake Pleasant lately. Last time I was there, the Lake Pleasant IR site on the RWC was also a full Simulcast A site. However, this site was not transmitting Simulcast B.

After making my last post, I wanted to confirm that the Lake Pleasant Site is still a simulcast A site. I’m thinking now that Simulcast G is online, that maybe it has been converted from A to G based on FCC license data.

Can anyone confirm, is Lake Pleasant still a Simulcast A site? Is the Lake Pleasant site transmitting Simulcast G?

Thanks,

My Parents where in the Valley yesterday. My pops was listening to his BCD396T and he was not getting Simulcast A. He was in the area of McDowell and Preist Dr.. He was able to listen to MCSO and RWC off of White Tanks IP. But, not off of the Simulcast A. Lucky he knew how to work the video mode on the camera and made a video so I could see what was going on. Below is how I had RWC Simu-A programmed.

Simulcast A
Frequency	LCN	L/O	Vol Adj	Num Tag
867.21250	0	False	0	NONE
867.96250	0	False	0	NONE
868.16250	0	False	0	NONE
867.17500	0	False	0	NONE

Site was set to MOT P25

White Tanks Regional IP
Frequency	LCN	L/O	Vol Adj	Num Tag
769.40625	1	False	0	NONE
769.15625	2	False	0	NONE
770.40625	3	False	0	NONE
770.65625	4	False	0	NONE

Site was set to MOT P25
For White Tanks he was locking onto 770.40625 as the control channel.
MCSO control channel looks like he locked onto Thompson Peak, 860.2625.
Are my Control Channels right for Simulcast A? The time was around 11 a.m..

OK, I need to go back to scanner 101......or maybe remedial....

ALL I really care about is getting MCSO West Patrol off of White Tanks when I'm down that way in the west valley....

I set a couple of BCT 15s up for a Motorola Type II Smartzone site JUST LIKE the SNACC system here in Vegas, which works fine for me....

All I get is an occasional irritating loud buzz on MCSO West, never any voice.... It does this with all the sites and freqs entered, and it does the same thing with just the White Tanks control channels entered.....it does it with 20 talkgroups entered or with 3.....but always on TG 43120....

What am I missing??? Use voice freqs only (no control channels)??? Enter all of them as conventional freqs on a conventional system (that sounds really irritating)??

HELP!!!

I have listened to the LTR systems that are in the SWFD, but I only hear businesses, busses, and cabs. I have never heard Native Air on any of these systems.
What frequencies does Native Air use for dispatch in the Phoenix Area?

Hi Everyone,

There are a lot of changes occurring right now with the RWC. Simulcast E still has an active control channel, but overall Simulcast E does not appear to be not in use. I monitor the RWC with Unitrunker, and none of the sites are showing Simulcast E as an active neighbor, and there are no affiliations happening on Simulcast E. I am guessing the techs are preparing for the merger of Simulcast E with Simulcast G. The White Tanks IR has been is covering while Simulcast E is offline.

I have not heard 4301 (Surprise PD) and 4330 (El Mirage PD) lately. However, there are some encrypted talkgroups that are active on the system - 4302, 4305, 4306, and 4307 with Surprise radio IDs and 4331 with El Mirage Radio IDs. It seems that most of the radio traffic for Surprise and El Mirage is now occurring on the encrypted channels.

Regards,

For those of you that have radio ID feature on your scanners, or monitor systems with trunking software, I am seeing a pattern in the radio IDs Phoenix dispatch consoles on the RWC.

The radio console IDs seem to follow this format:

If the talkgroup is 1234, then the console radio ID will be 1xx234 where xx is a station number. Here are some real examples:

Talkgroup A04 South= 2996. Console IDs = 200996, 201996, 202996, 203996, 204996, etc.
Talkgroup C04 South HOT= 2964. Console IDs = 200964, 201964, 202964, 203964, 204964, etc.
Talkgroup C08 Southwest HOT = 2960. Console IDs = 200690, 201960, 202960, 203960, 204690, etc.

Mesa seems to follow the same numbering convention:
Talkgroup A01 Dobson = 3000. Console ID = 301000.
Talkgroup A02 Central = 3003. Console ID = 302003.
