I tried to register with my callsign and their online form, no luck, tired again, nothing, tried to email them, gmail says the account no longer exists, tried the administrator email for the web forum and no response. I'd like to be able to see the CTSS/DCS tones and have permission to use the repeaters but it seems I can't find a member of the group.:(

Hello, I noticed a change that has not been reflected in the radio data base for Illinois in Cook County, I am not sure this is the proper way to bring it to light, but i could not find any kind of other place to post.

The Village of Worth, listed as their own freq. at 476.38750, does not use that freq.. As far as I can tell nobody within my range does, I have heard no communication on it in two months.

However I did notice that the village of Worth Police dispatch now goes through the Palos system. Worth units are the 1600's on freq 470.86250 at CT 114.8. Worth is a small town and therefore they have very light radio traffic, so picking them out among the din of the 3 other departments on that freq. may be a challenge

Also I had noticed what seems to be an audio simulcast of CBS2 chicago, the TV station, I was listening to Letterman the other night, anyone know whats up with that? Is it an official broadcast? It's hard to receive where I am at but when I'm traveling north and east it comes in nice. Freq. 450.48750

I downloaded the newest firmware into my 996XT, and now have the Unit ID's coming up. This will be a massive project it appears, at least for those monitoring in the Chicago Metro area. I'm using ARC to program, and have added just a few alpha tags to experiment. I've added a group, added a few Radio ID's and even added channels. I forgot to assign a Quick Key to the new group, but the Radio ID's still appeared. Dist. 15 cars are pretty easy to figure out..i15xxx mobiles and i16xxx for portables. I know you GRE owners have had this for awhile, but it's a new toy for Uniden owners...lol. I searched the Wiki and the RR Forums to see if their was a list out anywhere, without luck. Is their one out there I missed?

Also, anyone have tips on how to improve reception on GREPSR500 handeld when driving? When I"m stopped the radio receives fine however, when I drive it seems that Starcom will be very choppy. I'm in southern Lake County.
