Pike Co.'s whimsical, capricious EMS support of PSP's involuntary hospitalizations of innocent citizenry, where no emergencies have ocurred, may become fodder for FBI investigation into even more Pike Co. civil rights abuses. That is in addition to the crack-pot religious indoctrination of defendants by Hon. Joseph Kameen and Warden of the Year Lowe. Ironically, Lowe was recently ordered to cease [by DHS/OIG] and desist monthly total body strip searches of the entire jail population due to the sexual misconduct inherent in such practices. Warden of the year in a state full of perverts? Perhaps that's it, who knows, yet Pennsylvania's archaic laws, barbaric compared to westerly states, is consistent with the way some of PCCF's correctional officers carry on with inmates. Living secluded in the Wilds can do unusual things to peeps after a while. Those who used to court the opposite sex now apparently court black bear with festivals, somewhat reminiscent of PBS & Red Green's Beaver Lodge - minus the humor. Christ help us tolerate such nimrods, it's true.

just wondering if I missed something, but why are all the files for the counties being deleted?. I noticed that in Venango the map and station list was deleted and the surrounding counties station lists have also been deleted.

Thanks to RR data base found most active frequencies however came across a few not sure of:

Listed as University of PA Police Ch.2 508.9125 PL203.5 but wrong tone being herd

508.5375 PL167.9 Police activity but also licensed to university

461.1000 DPL712 Licensed to University of PA

464.9750 Herd university operations but no PL/DPL came up.

161.4600 PL141.3 SEPTA Conductor to Engineer on the R-5 (Not listed in data base)

If anybody can give me a better list for active frequencies in that are for a non-didgital scanner that would be great.

Also herd 464.0625 PL179.9 sounded like hotel operations on repeater

Thanks
It has 158.355 in it and a "back up" channel which is why I hear our highband township public works at times and the guys left on low band but I'm wondering who this agency I keep hearing is - hoping someone can help. The one message I did hear was "21 cars....fire dept going out for a waterflow alarm...Johanna Farms" - any idea who I'm picking up on a almost daily basis? I thought all local pd and psp in that area went to the 800.

I'm looking for advice in buying a new table top scanner. I am in Adams County and have been using an old Uniden low-end analog scanner that works perfectly (and has for many years) for our minimal needs. I am a homeowner and don't need top-of-the-line equipment to keep abreast of local emergencies. However, it is said that Adams County is switching to a new digital system in the near future. (See the sticky in this forum for reference.) My questions is: What type of scanner will I need? Will I need a $400-$500 digital trunking scanner in order to receive what I am receiving now? I'm hoping to keep up with the times but I am *not* looking to spend a fortune to do so. As you can tell, my knowledge of this equipment is practically nil, so any solid, reliable advice would be truly appreciated.

Thanks,

I have all the channels programmed in from the RR database, but wondering how accurate all the info is? They are still listing low band channels for some areas and I believe all of those are no longer in use.

Any input is appreciated.
