One word - KEWL! In a couple of hours I have monitored 9 different flights - US Air, United, Singapore Airlines; as well as some private charter flights an a military C-37!

I can see where this would be addictive
-------
Can someone tell me the length of the supplied antenna cable for indoor use? Not sure if it ships with 10 or 20 feet of cable or if both lengths are offered.
If I needed to increase the length of this cable (for indoor use), is this possible?

Speaking of which, anyone dealt with R&L Electronics out of Ohio? They offer the unit for one of the lowest prices I have seen online. Perhaps someone can suggest a better online company in the U.S. for this device.

Aurora Virtual Radar 3D

Aurora seems to have had an immediate impact even before it ships with Kinetic removing the 5-minute delay on its Basestation socket output.

AirNav will be charging 90 UK pounds for its 3D graphics later this year on top of the RadarBox price of UK Pounds 400. Expect more price drops and maybe new features from the two established players over the next few months.

They were probably both ATP's. The FAA revoked their licenses and that means they have a 10:1 chance of losing their jobs. I think they have 10 days to appeal? I would not want to be in their shoes. Looks like their flying days are done.

Jet overshoots airport by 150 miles

Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS — Federal officials say a Northwest Airlines jet overflew the Minneapolis airport by 150 miles before crew members discovered their mistake.

The plane landed safely Wednesday evening, and none of the 147 passengers and crew were injured.
The National Transportation Safety Board says the Airbus A320 was flying from San Diego to Minneapolis and lost radio contact with controllers before 7 p.m.
The NTSB says the jet flew about 150 miles past the Minneapolis airport before communications were re-established at 8:14 p.m.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the crew told authorities they became distracted during a heated discussion over airline policy and lost track of where they were.

Airline officials didn't immediately return calls.
