Not sure if anyone has been having this issue also or if it is just something that I have programmed wrong.

For the past few days I have noticed that I have been missing a lot of transmissions over my scanner. (BCT15X) I have re-programmed my scanner several times over the past few days trying to figure out what the problem is. However I noticed tonight that I had the Virtual Control (VC) page up and my county had dispatched an ems call. I had only heard about 2-3 seconds of the dispatch and then my scanner went back into scan mode and then I caught the last 2-3 seconds of the end of the dispatch. That is what it has been doing for the past few days. So I immedietly closed out my VC and when the county was giving the info for the call the scanner stayed on the correct channel and didn't go into scan mode like it has been.

So to be sure of my problem I got my portable fire radio, I turned on the VC and then keyed up on a channel, the scanner itself stopped on the channel that I had keyed up on for 2-3 seconds, resumed scanning through all the frequencies and then stoppped again on the channel that I kept keyed up on. I closed the VC and did the test again and my scanner stayed on the channel that I had keyed up on until I let go of the mic.

So my question is are there other people having this problem also, or is it something that I may have wrong on my part? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First I'd like to say what a great site with a wealth of accurate information! I recently upgrading my account to prem status to take advantage of programming my Uniden BCT15 with FreeSCAN. Everything has worked great and programming has been a breeze with the seamless integration with radio ref database. I am in the NW Suburbs of Chicago and have been able to successfully programs Lake and McHenry counties in Illinois as well as Kenosha county in Wisconsin as far as conventional scanning goes. I have also added trunked programming for those counties.

My snag lies with conventional freg programming for cook county. When I log in using FreeSCAN and enter in all pertinent info like country and state everything functions, menus are populated, etc. When I choose county things seem to hang when selecting cook, awaiting the list to propogate with frequencies. I have been able to program trunked cook freqs but no luck with conventional...it erros out in which case I can choose to "conmtinue" and nothing new happens or "quit" and the program closes. It's as if the program is hanging, almost timing out waiting for the cook county freq's to populate. Could it be the sure amount of cook county frequencies that is causing the issue with FreeSCAN? Is there anyway to download a file from Radio Reference and import those cook county frequencies into FreeSCAN to avoid the menu populating issue?

Anyone experience this before?

Thanks in advance for your time.

However, I have now loaded the current version on a new computer but I can't get it working.

I unzipped it into its own directory and then clicked the .exe file. I was able to load the name and key, but then I always get an error message saying:
I saw the notice about unblocking the DLLs. Did that. No change--program won't open.
I'm familiar with Win96, but I can't get it to open. Help would be appreciated.
System is a fairly new Dell with XP Professional.
Looks like 1.3 build 1 may have a bug in the Trunk System Paramters tab screen. The MotEndCode field is nearly invisible, but once you click the field, the drop options appear.

Previous 1.2 build 2 does NOT have this issue - running Windows XP Home Edition.

Also, a simple question. I don't see anywhere an option that lets me enable or disable the I-Calls for a particular system. Seems to me that this was available in a previous version. I'm not able to locate this option for either Analog or P25 Motorola trunked systems.

Thanks for the GREAT product!
