There is an Aafes DC nearby.

I know they use some Radios, where should I search to find their frequencies?

I searched the FCC DB..did not come up with any hits.

Could they be in Fed UHF? 380-420?
or VHF? not sure what the range is there..

OR is it actually a private company?

Since I had no idea I looked it up. AAFES is Army & Air Force Exchange Service.

Get the lat and long for the building and do a radius search with the FCC database. It will rule out any licensed business operation.

Lots of the PX's are Contracted out, if I am not mistaken.

I would then venture. a.) Unlicensed bubble pack or b.) find out the vendor and search the FCC again, instead of Lat/Lon, since they are portable only, LAT/LON is not always needed.

This might be a starting point for you. They might be using FRS or GMRS radios that can be bought at Wal-mart.Might search the 462.000 and 467.000 bands.

In case anybody cares :p

2 Channels that I know of
141.15/143.625

They use VHF (of course) HT1000s and HT1250s.
I've seen a few mobiles that I did not get a good look at as well.
