Where.... they're still about 60% clear at BWI, as they have been for years.

Your milage may vary depending on the airport. I don't know if there is an official edict on full time encryption from DHS for TSA or not.

Some TSA operations have been encrypted for years, others occasionally and some have rarely used it. I do notice that KLAS is using encryption much more than in the past, probably 90% of their traffic is now secure.

Well, you don't give a location, so you probably can't confirm for everywhere, but in my travels today, I listened to TSA at two airports and had no problem hearing them. Maybe within a year, but not today.

Pretty much every TG at DTW is encrypted.
This includes airport FD, ops, PD, and TSA.

. ....Doubtful, as it's not needed in many airports. Some don't even employ TSA. 73, n9zas

Guess your mileage and mine vary wildly
Plenty of Non ENC is occuring in my TSA monitoring.

BTW - how about a better Location in your profile, it helps

Secret Squirrel - I gotta a Secret, but I can't tell you - doesn't win and leaves me with the "how much can he really be trusted thoughts"

Is playing "I've Got A Secret" part of the radio shop tech orientation, or is it just a disease that people who go into radio service tend to have?

You are not the first or last radio shop employee that I've heard give the "I know stuff that I can't tell you" spiel.
