I am trying to make sense of some frequencies I found when visitng Port Angeles Washington in July. Any help would be appreciated

162.0875
163.4875
163.1375 p.l 167.9

I am guessing U.S Customs/Border patrol ?

Probably not. These frequencies are not part of the known DHS CBP band plan.

Did you hear anything specific on these frequencies?

162.0875 is a nationwide federal interop frequency known as LE-1.

163.1375 is unknown - I have no info on that one.

163.4875 is mostly military allocations, but I don't know of anything at Port Angeles.

Any possibility that you were hearing Canadian stations?

Port Angeles Washingon, and western Canada. follow up

It's possible that I was hearing Canadian communications. I will make a note to keep an ear on those frequencies during future trips. I don't remember anything specific. 163.1375 did sound like law enforcement of some sort. Steve

I live in Port Angeles and just put those frequencies in. 163.4875 sounds like an ambulance or cabulance company in Victoria or Vancouver, BC. 163.0875, PL 162.2, sounds like a taxi company, also in BC.
